Santa Lorena Productions, Down Poor Pictures, and Dark Energy Pictures Seeking Extras Tomorrow Waits For No One, a new web series currently filming in Asheville, is looking for extras for a scene to be shot this Friday, May 18. The scene calls for about 15 to 20 extras to play the news media. Tomorrow Waits For No One is set in the mythical town of Santa Lorena, and this scene will take place at Santa Lorena University Hospital after an unknown assailant has injected poison into the IV of a patient with amnesia. Our hero survives, of course, but the Santa Lorena news media will go into a frenzy. Dr. Yolanda Evans Jones, the head of the Santa Romilda County Health Department (played by Different Strokes Performing Arts Collective founder Stephanie Hickling Beckman), will address reporters at the university. What we need are television camera crews, newspaper photographers, and reporters to ask questions after Dr. Evans Jones’s statement. No script will be needed. We’ll shoot this scene at the Fine Arts Theatre, an Asheville favorite. The entire production is being filmed completely in and around Asheville. Everyone involved in this independent production lives in the region. Some notable actors are on board, including Miles Rice, who plays the titular character in the Cosmo Adventures web series, notable film actor John Rutland, Rebecca Morris, and Morgan St. Clair star. Also featured are Chris “Cisco” Rodriguez, Tj Lee, Ann-Adele Lloyd, and Hara Kahn. Filming began last week and is expected to continue throughout May. Santa Lorena Productions, Down Poor Pictures, and Dark Energy Pictures expect to post the first installment by September, though promo videos will be released throughout the summer. Cast and crew will be available for interviews before and after shooting, which will begin at 9 am this Friday and is expected to last for a couple of hours.
