Santa Lorena Productions Announces Tomorrow Waits For No One Cast

Western North Carolina’s well-known actors and newbies cast in new web series

A new web series is filming in Asheville, North Carolina, and its producers have found their dream cast. The show will be distributed on SoapCentral.com and is expected to debut by this fall. Tomorrow Waits For No One will be Soap Central’s first scripted series.

The cast includes local favorite John Rutland, best known for his work in such films as Bounty and the forthcoming Ringside Rosary. “I've been making movies for many years, and it's exciting to see Western North Carolina's film community becoming so active,” he said. Rutland plays renegade District Attorney Philip Palmer Benton, a man about to become embroiled in an explosive love triangle. “Tomorrow Waits For No One will be the first web series shot in Asheville.”

Rebecca Morris, hot off the stage, where she portrayed E-V in Fight Girl Battle World, is also on board. “I’m really looking forward to being a part of the burgeoning film community in this region.” Rebecca will play tough cop, Det. Ginny Riley. Hot on the case of a ‘missing persons in reverse’ case, Ginny playfully spars with partner Det. Cole Washington, played by newcomer Ron Eddings.

Also making his web series debut is Patrick Hackney, who will portray the mystery man at the center of this intriguing story, and Morgan St. Clair, as Nurse Gail Renwick. Other notable cast members include Chris “Cisco” Rodriguez, Tj Lee, Ann-Adele Lloyd, and Hara Kahn.

Lani Louis, who’s best known for her work in Two Much, and the television series Homeland, on which Rodriguez also appeared, and who also appeared in Just Cause and The Birdcage, will round out the cast as radio personality Paige Turner. Expect to see Lani in a series of promotional shorts that will be released throughout the summer.

Filming began this week and is expected to continue throughout the month of May. Down Poor Pictures and Santa Lorena Productions hope to post the first installment by September, though promo videos will be released throughout the summer.
